NtC: la raccolta è divisa in due parti, riprendendo la tradizionale struttura usata per i 28 capitoli buddhisti del  Sutra del Loto, dopo la Scuola Tendai. La parte "storica" riprende testi legati alle esperienze vissute da TNH nella giovinezza, prima e durante la guerra del Vietnam, fino ad anni recenti. La parte "assoluta" si muove in una dimensione trascendentale, con un riferimento esplicito agli insegnamenti del Buddha, sia pure con preziosi rimandi, cari a TNH, verso l' "azione".
